IT'S OFFICIAL: Strasburg to make debut June 8th vs. Pirates
Just got an email from the Natinals:

"Stephen Strasburg will make his Major League debut on Tuesday, June 8, at Nationals Park when the Nationals face the Pittsburgh Pirates at 7:05 p.m."

1. I think they waited until Pudge was back to start him
Anyhow---the Strasburg Era begins in 8 days. Here's hoping for good health for Mr. Strasburg.

7. Think about it..there's a reason they're starting him
against the Pirates...they know they're a soft touch. Pittsburgh is 29th in MLB in runs scored.

5. Why are they wasting him on a game a guy in a wheelchair with one arm could pitch
and win?

9. I heard on the radio this morning that tickets sold out in an hour
They also said you can't get them on Stubhub for less than 50 bucks.

They announced it at 8pm, I got mine a little after 8:30.

11. I'll post pics of his first MLB pitch
I tend to stay away from mid-week games too, but had to make an exception for this one.

13. Well at least Pittsburgh will get one game on ESPN
I'm looking forward to it. Been alot of hype surrounding him and it's time to see is he's been worth it. From his highlights, he could be.

This is about right for him. Nat's don't lose a year come arbitration time, they'll get a good half year from him.
