Hey east coast baseball fans |
|
Especially Yankee and Red Sox fans, the Chicago White Sox, yes the Chicago White Sox, have the best record in MLB right now. Therefore, the biased east coast media, ans everybody else, should be hailing them, not ignoring them. I've seen a number of their games, and they will be there at the end. Pitchung, defense, speed, and enough power will insure that. After all, Garland (an ex Cub, dammit) hasn't lost a game yet and may well be their best pitcher, as well as the best in the American League. Not bad for a "fourth" starter. So lets give them their props and give up on this Yankee-Red Sox east coast is the best nonsense. The St. Louis Cardinals have a helluva record in the NL as well. Midwest baseball is the best!

2. You're right about the White Sox; they are hitting on all cylinders... |
|
right now. I don't think anybody in the AL is taking them for granted, or expecting them to collapse any time soon. The bias in the media is because most of the big city papers, and huge TV markets are in the east -- they cover the teams their audience is interested in, and the fact is most people in the big eastern markets follow New York (both leagues), Boston, Baltimore and Atlanta.
I expect to see St. Louis in the postseason again this year, and probably the ChiSox too---but I'll be rooting for Boston. ;)

3. Newsday has a big story on the White Sox today |
|
included is a great photo of some Sox player getting beer dumped on him during the world series from a long time ago. I guess he was going back to the wall to try and catch a home run. He didn't do it, the ball went out of the park and some guy who was on the railing dumped his beer all over him. You can see in the photo the beer hitting the player's face with a stream going up to the cup that had just tipped over the railing.
Great photo.

I watched the Sox/Orioles game last night. I was impressed! Garland being 7-0 is awesome, but then the entire team is clutch. Congrats to them.

6. I stopped reading when you said Garland might be the best pitcher |
|
in the American League. That is a joke.
I agree with much of the post preceeding that though.
