Moran of the Day: Coghlan lost to celebration injury
The Angels can relate. Excessive celebration after a dramatic walk-off win has proven costly for the Marlins. During the elation in the aftermath of the Marlins' 5-4 win over the Braves in 11 innings Sunday afternoon at Sun Life Stadium, Chris Coghlan was injured while attempting to smash a shaving-cream pie in the face of Wes Helms, who delivered the walk-off single. After the Marlins edged the Giants, 4-3, on Monday night at AT&T Park, the club announced Coghlan was going on the disabled list with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

1. It could happen to anyone
I've seen that pie celebration so many times that I don't see why they couldn't happen to someone else.

2. He was also hit by a pitch in that game
He thought that may have caused some of the pain

Wasn't there a guy who got a game winning home run and when he bounced on home plate for the celebration he hurt himself??

It can happen at anytime

4. This thread reminds me of two injures that happened to my teams
Bill Gramatica made a field goal against the Giants and kept jumping up and down until he tore his ACL.

Another was when Kevin Johnson made a game winning shot, Charles Barkley gave him a hug which.. was a little too hard. He ended up dislocating KJ's shoulder.
