I hope Roger...if he makes it to the final, I think he'll win...it's getting there with his obvious lack of concentration these days which is a concern.

As for the women, I don't know. I'd like to see Caroline W. finally win one.

Hope she's ok...most likely heat exhaustion...the US Open in brutal...used to be worse at Forest Hills...the stadium seemed more closed in and it was an oven on center court.

Roger won't beat him head to head. Time for Nadal to shake the semifinal funk.

The women are a mess, like picking allowance horses in a 12 way field. Clijsters again wouldn't shock me.

I enjoyed Yanko's win over Roddick. So clutch, not a single double fault and tons of winners, mostly backhands down the line. Roddick made an ass of himself after correctly being called for a foot fault.

Yanko's post match interview as every bit as impressive and interesting as his tennis. Plus his girlfriend is a babe, worthy of an isolated camera.

20. Can't predict men's final, think Woz. may win

I'm strongly rooting for Mr. Federer, the greatest player in the history of tennis, in my opinion. I love his magnificent, but cool A plus skills, his passion for breaking records, his "suave factor". He is so versatile. BUT there are some terrific contenders this year. I've watched stupendous men's tennis matches the last two weeks. He's beating Soderling right now, a real danger, but the wind has really thrown his tactics for a loop. Federer has adapted better to the windy conditions. Djokavitch is so excellent, and of course Nadal is a strong contender. I want to see Federer win a few more majors and retire with a record so long that it will not be surpassed ever, perhaps. I always liked James Blake a lot, but I think he is retiring this year.

The women: I always root for the Williams sisters when they play, but I'm liking Wozniacki a lot. I'm so glad Maria Sharapova is out. I never liked her playing, her cold personality, her screeches. I like Ana Ivanovik, but she didn't get very far this year. I also like Kim Klisters a lot. So, I don't know who to root for with the women! Several outstanding players with terrific personalities.

26. It's going to sound like a zoo. At best, like a farmyard. I look forward, doubtless

urealistically, to a mute player like Federer, taking the rise out of his opponent by squeaking loudly after every shot. Of course, he would be the one penalised.

But should be a great game. I'm plumping for Djokavic to win.
