Talking specifically about baseball,

You have to have a team whose fans believe they will be in contention every year (or at least almost every year), so you can throw out the Pirates and Royals. No one is going to give a continually shitty team grief for not winning championships, they'll instead just hear how their team is shitty every year.

It's got to be a team with a significant enough payroll, so you can throw out the Brewers and San Diego. Teams that can't spend any money shouldn't get that much crap for never winning championships.

Also, they have to have somewhat vocal fans in the forum, and I don't recall any vocal Astros, Mariners, or Orioles fans to give shit to.

Obviously, teams that won in roughly the last 20 years aren't going to get that much grief either (Twins, D-backs, Angels, even Atlanta).


As I see it, there are only four teams left. The Mets, Cubs, Dodgers and Tigers and 3 of those teams won championships in the last 30 years.
