Though the most outrageous and undeserving Gold Glove selection, at least in the NL, was Carlos Gonzales, who actually posted a negative UZR of -2.7

5. Interesting. I think perception has a lot to do with these things

and part of it was that Zimmerman had a worse year at 3B this year, at least defensively than last year, though I believe he made more errors but overall was pretty good. Scott Rolen played well but probably got the edge there because of being in the playoffs.
