Is It Wrong To Look At Female Athletes As Sex Symbols? |
|
I don't think so. Women look at male athletes in the same way. Look at how women drool over Tony Gonzales, Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon, and Tom Brady.
So is it wrong for men to do the same with female athletes?

9. I heard that Women's Beach Volleyball teams were forced by the League |
|
wear excessively revealing uniforms. The women were against this ruling, but the Leagues and Networks said tough shit. No Daisy Duke style shorts with string bikini tops, no team. The End.
Maybe it's wrong to take male athletes seriously while forcing women to pose as bimbos?

Sorry; had to throw in that header to throw any hardcore feminists who might be reading off.
You're mostly right, though. Anna Kournikova, perhaps, but the crappiness of her play eliminates her from contention. She's just another second-stringer who looks good.
The problem is that a hardcore athletic regimen removes most of what men consider attractive traits. It lessens the fat in the breasts, it removes all junk from the trunk, etc. etc.
I caught a bit of a women's bodybuilding competition last week on INHD. I was repulsed, yet strangely attracted.

One doesn't have to be a "hardcore feminist" to complain about sexism. This particular thread, in my opinion, isn't over the line. If it were, I'd deleted it.
