2. I think if I had been born ten years ealier I would have been a Dodgers fan
Pee Wee, Campy, Jackie, Gil Hodges and the Duke at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn. What a team.

I saw Duke play in his last season in the majors, which he spent with the Giants. The Giants played an awful game that day and lost to the Reds, 8-1, but I recall the Duke getting a hit.

5. I grew up listening to the Duke.
Broadcasting the Montreal Expos games on radio and tv from '73 to '86. I still remember his voice so well. He knew baseball inside out. He was a great man. RIP, Duke.
