Can someone tell me why the Florida Marlins need cheerleaders?
Not just the Mermaids:

But also the Manatees:

I almost puked up my Easter dinner when they showed these guys.

It doesn't seem to help the pitiful attendance. There were only 11,442 that showed up yesterday.

2. Another Day - Another Florida Bashing Thread
What will you guys do if they win it all again?? Unlike the Colorado Rockies. They came into the league at the same time and still no World Series for the Rockies.

And another thread to bash attendance?? What about the 30,000 that were there on Saturday??

3. What are you going to do when attendance still sucks after you get that new stadium?
Because that's what's going to happen.

And I think it's fun to bash the Fish. A poor excuse for a franchise in a pitiful city who hates baseball.

Oh, did they give away tickets on Saturday and not Friday and Sunday?

7. We still have 2 World Series
I forget how many do the Rockies have again?? Oh that's right ZERO. And you got swept in your only appearance.

Jeez another CboyUpton4 around here talking about attendance figures

The Marlins have one of the best TV ratings for their games. So, a lot of us (especially those of us north of the stadium) watch them on TV.

8. Average attendance is what matters.
It looks Florida and Cleveland are the only winning teams (so far, this year) at the bottom of the attendance list. Why is that?

13. Cheerleaders are fine in high school
I think they're stupid in pro sports.

But, then again, it does provide jobs.

14. I hate baseball
Cheerleaders are awesome everywhere. I'm surprised the PGA doesn't have a group assigned to every player.

Let's see, the Heat have a group of senior citizen dancers who are very popular and always generate a laugh. My guess is this is a takeoff on that.

I know the Marlins have two titles, will properly be renamed in honor of Miami, and the new ballpark is blocked from the north by ugly parking garages too close to the stadium.

I didn't know Colorado had a team. When they acquire cheerleaders I hope they buy plenty of Apple stock and have nicely shaped rear ends featuring two prominent humps.
