9. except for attempting to break Danny Espinosa's hand
As far as me and most Nats fans are concerned he's on our shitlist. Danny Espinosa means as much to us as Buster Posey to you.
Oh and that call was completely wrong to. That was a HBP and he should have been on first base NOT out.

11. I hope Espinosa is okay... can't find an injury update on him.
Sorry TZ, but it was a swing. The rule book specifically states that if a batter is hit while in the process of swinging the ball it's a strike at the ball, not a hit batter. The pitch was in but it wasn't aimed at Espinosa. There's no way Cain wants to put a batter on with 2 out in the ninth -- the tying run would have come to bat. It's an unfortunate event, like Werth's injury. Hopefully neither will season-ending.

13. Espinosa seems to be okay
But I disagree that he swung, that was a checked swing and HBP. But I'm happy Espi is okay..

7. Let me lay down the rules
Edited on Thu Jun-09-11 11:41 AM by Jack Rabbit
First of all, my staff and I emphasize those games and only those played by teams from the Great Cosmic Center, California (which does not include <sneer>Southern</sneer> California). California is the Center of the Universe. Everybody knows that.

Second, my staff and I, being baseball fans, get to diss the dumbed down version of the game where the designated hitter is used.

Third, I really don't care who beats the Yankees.

Ha, I ran this through the spell check and the suggested word for 'skankees' was skunk!

But ever year, since I was a little tyke, I wish them an 0-162 season. But it never happens.
