Congrats Bruins fans.
You got Brian Leetch. I was hoping he'd come back to the Rangers. He's a great player.

1. This Bruin fan is confused really.
Prior to the new salary cap, I was boycotting them because despite having one of the most profitable teams in the NHL, the Bruins' ownership would never take the extra step to win a Stanley Cup. I felt this was my duty as a loyal fan.

Now that the cap is in place, I don't know how to feel. Do I end my boycott now that they can't spend the extra money? But it's not like ownership has changed it stance, you know? I guess I should end the boycott, but I feel weird.

2. Just enjoy the game :)
The Bruins do look like they are developing a good team this year.
Hope Thornton and Samsinov feel they can be a part of it.

3. You're going on a mad cup run this year
You added Dave Scatchard and Leetch.

Leetch is on the downside of his carreer but you have a young defense corps. Great veteran leadership added there.

Scathcard patches a huge hole you've had in the middle for three seasons. He's bonafide number two center with balls.

Speaking as an Islanders fan, the bruins are now the team to beat in the east. I dont know many teams looking forward to facing a one-two punch of Thornton and Scatchard up the middle. Two centers that are feisty and have some spead.

The Bruins made some deals that makes pilly's signing of Forsberg look like a patty cake signing. THe Islanders signed Satan (lost a lot in the middle) and the Bruins still make me quake.

Not looking ofrward to playing that team this year. For the first time going into October I will admit they (Gulp!!!), GOOD!!!!

4. That's good to hear..
I've benn watching them since 79, and it has been rough. Too many times they have had a great team that has gone nowhere. Maybe this year will be different.

5. Philly and Ottawa are the East favorites if you ask me.
Boston has improved themselves a bit but I don't think an aging Leetch and Scatch are comparable to Hatcher and Forsberg. Ottawa has talent out the ass as well. Let's not forget the champions from Tampa either, though they did lose their goalie. Boston is third at best in the East, probably fourth.

6. Satan?
I didn't know Dick Cheney played hockey.

No, just kidding--I know it means Miroslav Satan. The Bruins signed Mike Modano too, I believe.

7. Could it be...Satan?
I always wondered why some creative marketing type didn't give Miroslav Satan the number 66...think of the sales potential (especially if he wound up with new Jersey)!
