1. Oh, get over it....

it's not like they were going to keep on suspension forever. He's even on probation now, thanks to unprecedented charges brought against him. There are dozens of cases of violence over the years in the NHL where charges could have been brought against an individual. It's time to move on.

3. Eddie Shore and Ace Bailey...

Even with a "legal" hit, terrible things can happen. I just hope someday Moore can forgive Bertuzzi.

4. One key difference there

Shore went to some effort to see to it that Ace got compensated.

Would have been great if the Canucks would have and could forgive Moore.

5. What Bert did was cheap and uncalled for.

But I don't think they should have banned him for life. Hockey is raw emotion and sometimes it goes over the line. While he did want to hurt Moore I don't believe he wanted to break his neck. I blame a lot of this on the stupid instigator rule which forces cheap shots instead of allowing the players to police themselves with straight up fisticuffs.

I'm saying that rule fosters cheapshots and stickwork. If that rule hadn't been in effect, in an earlier point of the game, Bert or someone else could have gotten even for the cheap shot against Naslund in a fair way without being thrown out. He wouldn't have had to wait until the game was out of hand. I am in no way defending what he did but I think it could have been avoided.

9. That's a myth about the score

The Canucks didn't do anything at an interviening game in Denver and there were two fighting majors (one with Moore) in the game in question when the score was still 0-0.

I honestly don't understand why the league insists on that rule.
