About 40% of the population has used marijuana in the past 5 years. He's incredibly average!
In fact, someone I know who played for the CFL (Canadian Football League) is and was the biggest marijuana user I've ever known. And his buddies from GA, LA, and SC were all the same.

Don't give in to the MJ propaganda!

10. Oh... 'scuse me.
It's just that we up north here take a more "libetarian" view. Even one of our prime ministers has expressed a willingness to smoke up.

I'm constantly amazed at the rhetoric and volume coming out of the US about a drug which has no harmful effects other than the occasional burnt lip or weight gain from too many Doritos.

7. Isn't that an automatic 4 games
and an incredibly stupid thing to do? Though I am not sure which is dumber; doing it or admitting to it.

19. I wondered that too...
I an admission of use sufficient to warrant suspension??? Or does the CBA require the failure of a test before suspension?? The radio talk jocks haven't really mentioned the suspension angle so I supect it's the latter.

17. That was probably pre-emptive self-defense
That teammate was probably going to punch Bill one day, so Bill decided to hit him first.

14. Is that really news, KitchenWitch? And so what if he does?....
...If the play in his career is an indication of how someone performs on pot, then he's a poster boy for the benefits of pot smoking...

15. Amen, Robeson!
Just like the poster from Canada, I feel we are far too tight-assed in this country about MJ. If the only drug all these athletes that used drugs ever used was MJ, there wouldn't even be a need for a drug policy!

20. That would explain a lot of things....
You know, I like, you know, smoke, you know, the pot, you know, too, you know. I, you know, just had to, you know, get that off my, you know, chest.

Hi Randy... and welcome to weekly testing.

22. Who cares...the Raiders tradition of taking in castoffs continues...
and it's rare when they've misfired. Romanowski, as repulsive as he is, helped them tremendously in their run to the SB in '02. And that's just a recent example.

Fact is, the majority of teams in the NFL should be so lucky to have the success the Raiders have had over the years. Sure, it's been spotty in the last 15 years, but it's still better than most of the teams in the league. And what other team has appeared in a Super Bowl in 4 different decades?

24. The least shocking news in the history of the world.
Big deal. Tons of players smoke weed, they shouldn't even bother testing for it.

26. He'll never work at Home Depot
they have a sign right in the window telling dope smokers to not even bother applying. Being a natural contrarian, I feel ALL the dope smokers should apply at Home Depot. At $50 or so per test, I think it would be fun peeing into a cup for them.

Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 03:35 PM by TroubleMan
It actually does the opposite. It handicaps his athletic ability.

But, heh, if it helps him keep his sanity or stay happy, I say go for it.

They shouldn't care about weed in the NFL anyway. It's a bullshit rule just used as a means of control.
