Vince Carter - 23 Points, 5 Assists In Debut For Nets
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 10:47 PM by Magic Rat
Woohoo!!

Unfortunately, the Nets lost. :(

But Carter played well. :)

Until he got hurt. :(

But he shot well. :)

Though he missed some dunks. :(

He and Richard Jefferson combined for 50 points. :)

But Jason Kidd didn't have a field goal. :(

But Nenad Kristic scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. :)

While Jason Collins had 4 points and 2 rebounds. :(

The Nets had 2 blocked shots. :)

But the Pistons had 16 - yes, 16. :(

Overall, Carter is going to be an excellent player for the Nets and give teams fits trying to guard New Jersey.

Eastern Conference teams better hope the Nets don't find themselves a Power Forward (currently occupied by the afformentioned Mr. Collins) who can play. Because that title is just waiting to come back to the swamps.

1. The title of best in the East, I presume?
Because no way an Eastern team wins the title this year.

5. And it took a complete breakdown
for it to happen.

After seeing the Spurs shred the Suns tonight, I'm not even holding back the slightest bit. The Spurs will win the title this year.

3. Looking good!
Despite cramps, Carter hit a couple 3's like 2 feet behind the line. This guy looks good! So does Nenad, held his own against Big Ben Wallace.
Collins does the kind of things that don't show in the boxscore, a tip here and there, a pass, he's good defensively, but needs to be more aggressive offensively.
JKidd will be fine. RJ is on fire.
Mabey Denver will trade K-Mart. ;-)

4. Carter in his second game...
Scores 25 and grabs 6 rebounds with a pair of assists and steals.

Nenad Krstic, my new favorite player, put up 17.

Now we're 1-1 in the Vince Carter era. Not bad, bring on the Pacers this Thursday!

:D
