I don't know if the Cowboy fans would do the same, but I am cheering for my conference, and also my state.

and we don't normally, except I will be rooting for them in the Orange Bowl -- because the PAC-10 sucks.

9. Ohio State Quarterback Gets Second Chance
Ohio State Quarterback Gets Second Chance
T.A. BADGER, Associated Press Writer
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Troy Smith helped Ohio State get into the Alamo Bowl. Justin Zwick will have to help the Buckeyes win it.

No. 24 Ohio State (7-4) won four of its last five games after Smith took over as quarterback. But he was suspended by the team last week for a violation of team rules and will miss Wednesday's game against Oklahoma State.

That puts the offense back into the hands of Zwick, who went 3-3 before hurting his shoulder and being replaced by Smith.

``It's pretty exciting to be back on the field competing,'' said Zwick, who hasn't taken a snap in a game since mid-October. ``I've been preparing every week as if I would get this opportunity.''

Athletic director Andy Geiger said Tuesday that Ohio State will sanction a businessman accused of giving improper benefits to Smith. Geiger said Robert Q. Baker, who used to work for a health-care products company, gave Smith an unspecified benefit in violation of NCAA rules. A message seeking comment was left Tuesday at Baker's home.

13. That's not an official DU avatar
It's one I picked up somewhere. You can get you own personal avatars and download them.

In fact, I'll see what I can do.

20. By the way, Nancy...
I'll be cheering for your Sooners on Jan. 4, even though I live in Los Angeles. I can't stand the whiny baby USC fans. I can't wait to see them lose!!!

21. All right!
Did you watch Texas Tech whoop up on Cal last night? Great game. I really like their coach. He was at OU. All around great guy.

16. What a game!
I don't think the boys were ready to get hit. We had their QB dropping the ball without getting hit and he still had to leave the game at one point. I'm so tired of nobody respecting Ohio State in bowl games. The Cooper era is over. I hope last night is a sign of what's to come next year.

Go Bucks!

18. I was thinking that, too - about Cooper....
In the Cooper era, the Bucks would be up 100-7 at the half - and end up losing the game. And of course they would pee their pants every time they played Michigan. It's a different mentality now. The Tressel Era has begun and even Woody Hayes would be impressed.

I think the only question is...will Teddy Ginn win the Heisman two or three times?
