Quick message to Red Sox fans
I have watched the NESN commemorative World Series video three times, and I have watched the MLB commemorative World Series video three times.

The NESN one is way way way way way better.

They cover the season series against the Yankees in entirety, and just capture things better.

Two words.

Jerry.

Remy.

Get both. But the NESN one is the cream.

1. Thanks for the tip! I did wonder and now I know
And it's nice to think of the Red Sox and what they accomplished at a time of such high tension and worry. I wasn't much of a sports fan before this season, but I couldn't be unmoved by them. I'll definitely get that video, which I assume I can find on Amazon.

I suspect we are both still typing away after 3 AM for the a similar reason -- that same worry and tension, the feeling that more HAS to be done. There's so much at stake and every day counts so much.

Be well, and get some sleep. You know you'll be glad you did. I'm going to try to take my own advice now.
:boring:

2. I've had my Jerry Remy autographed Wally with me all year
In fact, Wally even was with me at the Women's March in DC.

Wally was on top of the computer at our campaign headquarters.

Damn, that little green guy gets around.

Oh, and I agree with your assesment of the videos, as well.

3. Agreed. I've seen both also, I own the NESN version...
(I hinted very strongly that it would make the perfect Christmas gift---FOR ME!!!) You're right, the NESN version does a better job on the ALCS games. It just manages to recapture the tension and drama of that series a lot better than the MLB version.

I'm also a big RemDawg fan (I have an autographed copy of his book: "Watching Baseball") and he is, without a doubt, the BEST color man in baseball. I wish he still had Sean McDonough as his play-by-play man, although Orsillo is better than most.
During the season, I hate it when the game is not on NESN. If it's on FOX or one of the other networks, I usually turn the audio off and listen to Castiglione and Trupiano on the radio.

4. The NESN version makes a big deal of Varitek's fight with A-Rod...
...as well they should. It really was the turning point in the season. The Sox were frustrated, and they had to let it boil over and get it out somehow. I recall thinking that the fight was actually a good thing when it happened because of this.
