NFLPA to Eagles: Make TO a free agent now
NEW YORK (AP) - The NFL Players Association wants the Philadelphia Eagles to cut Terrell Owens if they're not going to reinstate him after his four-game suspension is over.

"We're not asking them to play him, we can't force them to do that," Gene Upshaw, the NFLPA's executive director, said Wednesday. "But if they're not going to let him come back to practice and do all the other things associated with that, then we want them to cut him, let him become a free agent now."

The union already has appealed the four-game suspension levied on the wide receiver by the Eagles for what coach Andy Reid called "a large number of situations that accumulated over a long period of time."

Don't you think that Gene Upshaw just says to himself, I can't believe I have to defend this asshole again?

1. They have no grounds to say that.
And the suspension isn't the result of one incident, but six months of being disruptive to the team.

Let 'im ride the pine.

5. Absolutely not
Getting cut was eaxtly what he and his agent wanted. Say what you want about the Eagles and their fans but I applaud thir decision to make an example out of TO. This kind of stuff is getting out of hand in professional sports... more than anything though, I just want to hear something besides TO on sports talk radio
