I think he can come back and do more talks in May. I think he is done or just as good as done. News reports say that the Astros felt they could not build the team and pay Clemens another big salary. I think the talk was that Clemens could get as much as $20 million. The Astros will focus on building their team. So I think Clemens will not be back. I do not see any reason another team would want to pay him $18-$20 million to pitch for them. They could get a good young pitcher for less.
