7. For a long-time Bear fan, this game is a thing of beauty to watch. |
|
The commentary from the guys on ESPN has been pretty funny as well. I loved the comment about Urlacher earlier, "somebody better tackle him before he kills someone".
GO BEARS!!!!!

12. You have to play Grossman |

Excellent handicapping by Lovie Smith to make the switch. Orton is a 5 yards per attempt guy. That is suicidal in the playoffs. Trust me, my job is sports stats and the mainstream media does an incompetent job mentioning the most vital ones. The Bears have zero shot in the postseason with a QB who averages 5 yards per attempt. The baseline number is 7 yards per attempt or higher.
Run the ball often, pass the ball well. If you try to violate either one of those criteria in the NFL you are doomed to fail. Although Andy Reid apparently never got the memo.
Rex Grossman is a bigtime talent even though he choose Gainesville. He potentially changes the Bears by exponential proportion as a legit playoff team. Letting him play now and get a few games under his belt was absolutely essential. You can't wait until a playoff deficit to make the correct move.
