He's allowed to be a dick. He's earned it. Doesn't care about endorsements, just being the best golfer in the world.
If you read about his background and how he's been treated by the media, you might understand why he's not a media/fan favorite. His fellow players admire, respect and like him.

My brother is John Ashworth -- Ashworth shirts... altho now he has a line with Quiksilver: Fidra by John Ashworth. Ernie wears his clothes and they hang out a lot.

On a tough day (and of course, how many tough days do you have playing golf in Hawaii and the worst you can do is win something like $50k) - Vijay blew it.
