Yep, some names that are very familar to those of us following the NCAAs. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060322/SPT0101/603220375/1078Murray State's Mark Cronin; George Mason's Jim Larranaga; George Washington's Karl Hobbs; and the not-so-hot UC interim coach Andy Kennedy. If you had the choice, to which of these coaches would you offer a contract?

1. I would offer it to Hobbs |

GW has been in the Top 25 for 2 straight years, Top 10 this year, and he was an assistant at UConn before coming to GW.

Hot off the wire from the Cincy Enquirer...
Mick Cronin, a Cincinnati native and former Bob Huggins assistant, was named head coach of the University of Cincinnati on Thursday night after the Bearcats lost to South Carolina 65-62 in the National Invitation Tournament quarterfinals. Cronin, who has taken Murray State to the NCAA Tournament in two of the past three seasons, is a 1997 UC graduate and a LaSalle High School graduate. He worked for Huggins at UC for six years, then took a job as associate head coach/recruiting coordinator for Rick Pitino at Louisville in 2001. At UC, Cronin helped recruit Steve Logan, DerMarr Johnson, Pete Mickeal and Kenny Satterfield. Murray State, a No. 14 seed, lost 69-65 in the first round of the NCAA to defending champion North Carolina. Cronin’s three teams went 69-24, including 24-7 this season.
