Yes BSU is going to a BCS bowl.
BSU is fantastic. Number 12 in the NCAA, Number 11 in the BCS.

GO BSU!

1. They should be playing Ohio State.
The idea that a D1 team could go undefeated and have no shot at the national title is ridiculous.

It is time for a playoff.

2. BSU is not even in OSU's league.
OSU would kick their ass.

BSU is a good small school program but I don't if they could beat the top teams in the nation on a regular basis.

3. I agree that OSU wins 19 out of 20 times
But BSU deserves the chance.

5. I agree with the playoff...
...but not with the idea they should be playing Ohio State.

Ohio State played a much higher class of opponents than Boise State. Not to retract credit from Boise State -- 12-0 speaks for itself in college football no matter the opponents -- but the Big 10 is a much tougher conference than the WAC.

4. strength of season should also be considered
Granted that any undefeated season for a team is pretty awesome, it doesn't warrant a chance to bump off other teams with much tougher schedules, otherwise teams would be jumping to schedule Northwest Wyoming School for the Blind and the like just to go undefeated (cough*Notre Dame*cough)

I realize though that Boise State has had a challenging schedule when you consider their size and in that regard, the BCS will give them a chance to prove how good they are. If Boise State wins or even loses a close game in their Bowl, we'll be a lot closer to a playoff system.

7. Why DO they have that blue field?
Sure must have intimidated more than a few of their opponents this year, though!

Also makes for interesting viewing for that bowl game they hold out there!

B-)

9. Watching a game on that field on TV...
...always makes me think the color on my TV is going bad.
