Chicago traded their best offensive player to the Jets today.
Now Cedric 'i'm not ricky williams" will be the running back - the same guy who got -1 yards in the SB before injuring his knee.
The Bears are my team, but they are very stupid, all the time.

1. how many carries did he have in the Superbowl |

I think the jury is out on this one. Jones had some good seasons, but how much of it was because of big holes the O-line made?

The last 3 years Jones has carried the team literally to the playoffs. Teams win with running and defense, not just defense. I will be very surprised if Benson matches jones production and i think benson will choke under the pressure.
Chicago just does not have a good record of drafting running backs since payton, and they let the best one go.

3. He was going into his walk year |

I am a Bears fan too, but Jones is a free agent after next year and will want a big contract, remember his absence from the "voluntary" workouts? The Bears already have that money tied up with Cedric, there is no way Jones would be with the Bears after next year anyway and then they would lose him and get nothing at all in return.

4. Um. Remember Neal Anderson??? |

He was pretty good for several years. They drafted him to replace Payton near the end of Walter's career. The Professor

I was going to post that yesterday it this thread but was blanking on the name. I guess I'm biased and inclined to forget the name of a Gator.
Anderson was a slashing running back and damn good for several years. He helped win plenty of Bears bets for me in the early '90s.

i vaguely remeber neil helping us get to the playoffs and having only 4 good years, but since him its been enis, rashan salom, anthony thomas, just disaster after disaster. Benson will be lucky to get 2 good years.
