Clemens Could Be Sued for "60 Minutes" Interview
The New York Times is reporting that the former trainer of Roger Clemens, Brian McNamee, has threatened to sue Roger Clemens over his "60 Minutes" interview. It appears that McNamee's lawyer has stated that McNamee will file a lawsuit against Clemens if Clemens told the "60 Minutes" interviewer that McNamee lied by telling the Mitchell Report that he injected Clemens with steriod and/or HGH.

There seems to be some minor conflicts as to what Clemens said in the interview. It has been reported that Clemens said that McNamee injected him with a painkiller and Vitamin B-12. However, Mike Wallace, who conducted the interview with Clemens, seems to now be saying that in the interview Clemens said that he was not injected with anything.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Baseball pitching great Roger Clemens told CBS's "60 Minutes" he was injected with the painkiller lidocaine and the vitamin B-12 during his playing career but not steroids as alleged by his former trainer.

The ex-trainer, Brian McNamee, told investigators for the probe led by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell that he injected Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone, making Clemens the most sensational name unveiled when Mitchell's report was published on December 13.

Clemens has issued a number of denials in statements to the media and does so again in his first interview since the Mitchell report was issued, CBS said in a release promoting the show to be aired on Sunday.

When asked by interviewer Mike Wallace if McNamee had ever injected him with any drugs, Clemens said: "Lidocaine and B-12. It's for my joints, and B-12 I still take today."

Clemens called the accusation "ridiculous" and said he "never" used any banned substances.

"Swear?" Wallace asked.

"(I) swear," Clemens said.

Clemens is one of the greatest pitchers in the history of Major League Baseball, largely through an impressive record in his late 30s and early 40s when most players lose effectiveness and retire.

He concluded a 24-year career last season at age 45 while with the New York Yankees. He also pitched for the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros.

3. Wallace is a regular guest in George Steinbrenner's box
and a friend of Clemens.

So I'm sure we'll be hearing from Yankee fans about his bias just as loudly as their griping about Mitchell's ties to the Red Sox.

Oh no, we probably won't.

2. So I can inject myself with Vitamin B12 and become a great athlete?
Cool.
