This is still available at this site. What a great fight, I hope they set up an immediate rematch. http://mixedmartialartvideos.com/2008/03/29/frank-shamrock-vs-cung-le-video-strikeforce

1. Definite candidate for fight of the year so far. |
|
Shamrock has got a great chin.
Rematch would be awesome.

2. that third round was great |

Great fight. Maybe next go round Frank will try to take it to the ground a little more, but that guy is one helluva man to stand with Cung like that. That took some balls to do. Cung is an awesome wrestler too, so Frank might not be able to take him down, that's about the only unanswered question we have so far. Frank was hanging in there though.

3. He's gonna have to come up with an answer for that left roundhouse kick. |
|
You'd think with all the kicks Le throws that Shamrock might be able to time a takedown. He sure didn't have any luck getting into a clinch with him.
Can't wait to watch UFN when I get home tonight.

4. yeah that kick and the little spinning backfist Cung throws in there too |
|
His balance is ridiculous. I think Frank promised to stand up with him, because they got in a clinch early in the first round, and he let Cung go. Problem with that is, well, Cung is an awesome thrower, so maybe Frank let him go partly because of that. Both guys are ridiculously talented. Each one would have a shot at beating Anderson Silva, but Silva has so much power that it's not likely. Dan Henderson found that out, Hendo roughed up Silva and won the first round then nearly was pounded out in the second and ended up getting tapped. Skill-wise, Frank or Cung match up solidly with Anderson, but that goes out the window when your jaw gets jacked. I think Cung looks a little small. He'd be interesting at 170.
Yeah I'm about to check youtube for the fights in a few minutes. Pretty good matchups tonight too.
