Poll question: So Who's Gonna Win The College Football Title This Season...
The AP and the coaches agree on who the top 5 are, and only have minor quibbling about their order.

So I'll list them alphabetically.

7. Hey, nobody picked the Devil Rays either.
And besides I went to school there, so I have to pick them.

10. Hey Hellsbeagle, welcome to DU
If Tennesse wins their opener they may be in contention (for second place in the SEC East.) As Cboy will tell you the only reason UT won their last championship is because Clint Stoerner fumbled the ball late in the fourth quarter. I'm the resident obnoxious Hog Fan (but not as obnoxious as Cboy, just get him talking about Barry Bonds.)

Great to have another SECer onboard.

34. They have to run the table to win the SEC now
and will need to get 2 losses out of either USC or OSU, and avoid having any other undefeated teams (like from the Big 12). At least they had their loss early (if it's their only one), that will help. All in all, it's going to have to be a crazy season and then some, like last year, for them to get there.

2. I'll have a better idea around Week 5 or so.
I have this silly notion that I want to see teams play before I figure out who's good or not, especially with college kids (18-22 year olds develop quickly) without a preseason. Preseason polls are, by and large, nonsense.

5. Better yet, why not wait until after the championship? You''re sure to have a way better idea then.

6. More accurate, less fun.
Maybe week 5 is a bit too much. Week 3 would work, but I definitely have to see some of the top teams in action before I make a pick.

Sleeper pick. We'll just fly under the radar this year and surprise everyone. Michigan always does better when the expectations are low and there are none for this year.

17. Ohio State
They return everyone and play a one game schedule. Like Miami used to do back in the old days. Win one game and they're in. They'll be much resistance to putting them in if they go 0-1 but even then they'll likely get in.

Everyone in The SEC will have a conference loss and I doubt more than one will have less than two losses.

We'll beat ECU but it will be a good game, IF it goes off

What a display that was today, vs. Kentucky. I think I play a round of golf faster than the Louisville QB completes his throwing motion.

So right now, they're tops with me....

But where the hell is LSU in this poll?

That's why I hate these types of polls... they show the pollsters bias.
