1. I appreciate your excitment---really...
But it's obvious that you're not use to starting the season number one----because if you were, you would know that you never want to start the season number one. It's a bad position to be in because it puts added pressure on the team to stay there, plus everyone is gunning for you extra hard to knock you off the perch. It is very rare for a pre-season number one to win the NC at the end of the season.

Good luck though.

2. You are right, however...
The preseason #1 team always, always gets a lot of leeway in terms of how much they drop after a loss. If we lose one game, and everyone else does, more than likely, we're back on top. And it's not horribly rare for a preseaon #1 to win the NC. What's really rare is going wire-to-wire #1. Generally, the higher you start out ranked, the better the polls treat you all season. That's why I'm excited. And hell, someone's got to be #1. We'll probably drop after the OSU-USC game, but I'll take the fun while it's going on.

Don't get me wrong... I'd love to see the Bulldogs win it all.

3. I'm with you on that!!!!
And the best part is, the Dawgs started the season off right by winning, 45-21!!! Ga. Southern didn't stand a chance! I hope they keep it going, but I know Vanderbilt, Tennessee, LSU, and Florida (as usual) are gonna be challenging, but this year is going to be a special season for Georgia!!! I may have the purple & white on Sundays but I LOVE the red, white & black on Saturdays!!!!

GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :woohoo: :woohoo:
