Nasty "dirty' hit on Tom Brady, but Patriots beat Chiefs 17-0

Randy Moss on 'dirty' play

Various Patriots players were asked their thoughts on the hit that knocked Tom Brady out of today’s game. Receiver Randy Moss was the most outspoken about the play:

“I don’t really want to get into it, but me personally, I think it was dirty,” he said.

“Like I said, I didn’t really see anything; I was running down the field. When I came back in , it looked dirty to me. I’ve never been a dirty player. I honestly don’t even know how to play dirty. I just play the game. Any time you see something like that, that looks foul, it looks dirty, it opens your eyes. So, me personally, it looked dirty.”

1. Would you like some cheese with that whine?
Jeez, no wonder the Patriots are loathed by the rest of the league. I saw that hit..The guy was NOT going for the knee.
And having it said by Randy "bad attitude" Moss isn't lending credibility. I pretty much guaruntee that if it was KC complaining about a dirty hit on their QB it would be WAAH--everyone is jealous of the pats...

BTW--"I didn't really see anything..when I came back it looked dirty to me.." Really Randy? You now have eyes in the back of your head...:eyes:

7. Whoa, That's A Bit Harsh
Even I wouldn't want that for the Mannings or anybody, including Brady.

8. Randy is biased. The hit wasn't dirty. The league has stated such.

The talking heads also stated it wasn't dirty.

In my own opinion, it's just an unfortunate incident. Sucks for us fans of the league though (and of course for Brady and Pats).

and Brady still had the ball when he lunged for him.

and the play several times when they replayed it, and I didn't think it was dirty. While you're not supposed to hit the QB in the legs, it didn't look intentional at all.

15. Not yet
Now I'm going to enjoy watching them suffer from the loss of a key player for another 15 games. It happens to other teams every year, but I always hear "Injuries are part of the game, they'll just have to suck it up." Can the Patriots suck it up, or are they just Brady's supporting cast?

16. The guy didn't purposefully go after his knee.
The Steeler hit on Carson Palmer in the playoffs a few years a go was deliberate, this was not.

Of course, they changed the rules for safety's sake

25. If it was a dirty hit why haven't the Pats protested to the NFL?
It may have looked dirty but the guy was blocked into Brady by a Pats lineman. :eyes:
