High School Football Brutalized 91-0 |
|
By halftime the winning team was up by 70. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop things like this from happening without stopping the games? http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=862709

1. Hard when it is so lopsided before the half. |

Wisconsin has a rule that if a team is up by 35 or more after the half, the clock only stops for change of possession. That, at least, helps end the ass kicking a little more quickly.

2. The 49ers would have only lost 45-0 |

4. I'd laugh, but after the Chargers game I'm not so sure the Pats would've done much better. |

we had a play where the QB intentionally fumbled the snap to turn it over. Our coach was absolutely against us scoring more than 49 points in a game. My senior year, in the last game of the season, our running back set the all time rushing record with a 60+ yard run (against a VERY bad team). There was no one within 20 yards of him, but rather than scoring, he ran out of bounds at the 3 yard line. Thinking back, that's really more embarrassing than having someone score 50 against you, but it wasn't his intention to embarrass anyone, the coach told him not to score no matter what.
