8. He needed a break, anyway... no pun meant.
Something's been screwing him up the last three games. Maybe watching someone else do his job will help him focus, without the blow to the ego that a benching would cause. One of those weeks is a bye week anyway.

And that surprises me.

(just kidding, I still like you, even though you like the vile Cowgirls, I won't hold it against you)

Even now as we speak, my kitty and his 10 pals are putting on little shoulder pads and helmets.

They want to have a word outside with your Cowgirl Kitties.

19. Thanks for nothing.
Anything whatsoever that aids the Cowpies in the slightest way diminishes us all.

7. It was fun to watch
It's nice when us Cleveland fans get to see what winning feels like once in a while.
I was going to go to the bar at halftime to share in the revelry, but I have to get up early tomorrow for the Biden Rally here in Warren, and I'd never have made it.

11. And all weekend long the Sports Talk Radio shows were bemoaning...
The fact the Browns are on in prime-time 6 times this season on ABC and ESPN.
Then they come out and shocked the world with a stunning ass-whipping of the World Champions.
Bastards...

My only chance to win in my Fantasy Football game was Plaxico Burress tonight.
I needed 23 points and I got sixteen.

The second half was brutal.

BUT, I am a Broncos Fan and the Browns have nothing on me.
We caused more heartbreaks in Cleveland...well 'The Drive" and "The Fumble".
'Nuff said.

18. There was also much anguish over knockout pools from that game.
Lots and lots of people probably took the Giants in a lock there.

20. I've disliked the Cowboys ever since Jerry Jones bought the team and blindsided Tom Landry.

24. That wasn't what happened. You should hate the media for that.
Jones wanted to talk to Landry first and offer him a position with the team or give him a chance for a graceful exit strategy, but the media broadsided both of them. Jones bought the team in secret specifically so he could negotiate with Landry and Tex Schramm before the story broke, to keep from embarrassing them. Instead, the media sniffed out the deal, then discovered that Jimmy Johnson was being flown to Dallas, and they began reporting, without substantiation, that Landry and Schramm were being fired and that Johnson would replace Landry. By the time Jones and Johnson landed in Dallas, the story was everywhere, Landry and Schramm had already gotten the news, and Jones didn't have the PR ability (he was just a businessman from podunk Arkansas, he'd never had to deal with the media before) to save the story. He tried to claim that no decisions had been made yet, that he still planned to discuss matters with Landry and Schramm, and all the things he could think of, but the story was already out.

Jones has always said he felt horrible about that, and has at various times described the whole situation as his biggest regret.

Jones has always been a class act, and has always been treated otherwise by the media. Jones always places the best interests of his players over his own pocket book or PR. He forced Aikman to retire against Aikman's will because of the number of concussions he had, even though it would have been more profitable to keep him. He hired Spellman and Underwood after their very public mental health breakdowns. Same with Terrel Owens. He has an awareness of mental health, and has shielded several bipolar players from media scrutiny, even while taking the full blame of the media on himself.

Dude's a good guy. I was like you--I was in Dallas, and followed the whole Landry story as it was breaking, and for years believed the media's take on him. After watching the way he handled Leon Lett, Dimitrius Underwood, and Alonzo Spellman, I changed my mind on him.
