Hmmm...Kurt Warner for MVP...hmmm.... |
|
....I keep hearing that from the "experts," but as far as I'm concerned Arizona and Kurt doing well only because they are in the most-God-awful division in more years than I can recall.

4. I try not to let an athlete's politics sway me because the odds are |

I won't agree with them...but Kurt really is about as far to the right as you can get...worse than Curt Schilling, a famous Repuke, but I haven't actually heard any actual beliefs out of him, just always campaigning for any Repuke.

2. I hope not .. he was really into the praise Jesus shit when he |
|
was with St. Louis, and that was a HUGE turn-off for me.
I didn't watch yesterday's game, but didn't he have a terrible outing against Philly?
He didn't look that spectacular when AZ played the 49ers a couple of weeks ago either.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Cardinals collapse down the stretch, even though they'll still win the division because everyone else is so pathetic.

3. He did ok, basically solid... |
|
...but if Arizona had to play teams outside their division each week he wouldn't even be considered.

6. I'd pick Brees first, but Warner is having a great year. |
|
But unless the Cards make the playoffs I can't see picking him. On the other hand, if the Cards make it and the Aints don't then that could swap positions.

have a player on a losing team win the mvp. He puts up great numbers, but hasn't won enough.
I think Peyton Manning or Favre will end up winning the award.

If neither Brees or Warner lead their team to the playoffs I don't think either one should win it. I feel that way about the MVP in every sport.
I almost hope Favre gets it, just for the fun it would create here.

They're 7-5 currently. Yet you would give the MVP to Peyton Manning with an 87.2 QB rating? Kurt Warner has my vote. He's a champion. He wins not because the division is weak but because he has great receivers (as he did in St. Louis) that understand the schemes and passing patterns that the coach lays out for them. I totally disagree with Kurt on politics and religion (must he mention Jesus in EVERY interview?). But I don't judge athletes on where they stand politically while they're on the field. Off the field, when they are retired, it's a different story (boo Steve Largent, hooray Heath Shuler).

The last two weeks the cards have been awful. Still if he takes the cards to the superbowl, who knows?

really, has any one player this year come to a team and totally re-shaped them the way Favre has the Jets this year?
