I never saw him in his prime, but my parents raved about the '50s Budweiser team for decades. Weber was very good as a TV bowling commentator, and I know he didn't share the same lane antics as his son Pete.
Earl Anthony was the best I ever saw, such a simple style, but you may be right about Weber as the Babe Ruth of bowling. Along with Don Carter, perhaps.
