Rags complete EPIC COLLAPSE!!!! |
|
My god.
Nobody on that Rag team is worth keeping except Lundqvist.
Long summer in NY.
I wonder if Sather will find anothe worthless piece of crap to throw money at.

2. I already downed a few |

I can't wait to see how they play this up to the fans.
Rag fans will never figure just how badly Sather has fucked that team up till it's all over. This was the last shot that team had at the post season for a long time. They go out in a manner that no one will ever forget.
The only player worth his salt on that team is Lundqvist. If it weren't for him they'd be drafting Tavares instead of us.
HAHAHAHAHA
Man do they suck!!!

3. Once again mocking a playoff team, as your 20-plus game |
|
below .500 team (the worst in the NHL), have long since cleaned out their lockers.
Too much!

4. Time for them to break it up again and start anew. |
|
If Nathan LaFayette had just scored on that open net in 94 we might still have the "1940" chant. I have nightmares about that play to this day. Lundqvist is the only reason this series went as long as it did.

5. I don't even want to think about 94 |

Sather will screw that team up even more on July 1st. The only thing that guy knows how to do is throw money at washed up players. Today I harken back to the Drury and Gomez signings.
Recall how that made them "instant cup contenders"?
Their reaction to Tortorella throwing a water bottle at a fan pretty much says it all. Tortorella should be handed his walking papers. Blowing a 3-1 lead to any team in this league a freakin embarassing as hell.

They should clean house but I don't think they will. I'll bet that the both of them will be back next year. I haven't seen a list of UFAs for next year but I'll also bet I can pick off their signings if I do. Having a grizzled veteran or two is fine for experience and leadership but they have a way of picking the ones right on the edge of being completely done. Gomez can still play but he's better off in a disciplined system like the Devils run. They can never get their defense right either. Couldn't happen to a better team.

7. Never trust anything out of that Devils system |
|
You'd think the Rangers would have figured that out after giving Holik Eight mill a year.
The Sedin twins are UFAs after this season. I'd say Sather trys to grab those two. Although it is rumoursed that the cap is going down.
I don't think the Rags will have a lot of room to spend. They are so stuck right now. They have 28 mill tied up in four players; Drury, Gomez, Redden and Rosival.
I just don't wnat to hear anymore how Drury is this big clutch goal scorer or even a gifted one. That guy is as over rated as they come. Gomez and his 15 goals this season averages to about a half million a goal. Just embarassing.
I don't see them making the post season next year.

8. Drury looked like shell of his former self this season. |
|
In fairness to him, he was pretty clutch when he was in Colorado and not bad in Buffalo. He scored plenty of timely goals for the Avs in the playoffs but no one is ever going to mistake him for a sniper along the lines of Pavel Bure. If that's how he was being touted in the NY papers then they are fools. He looks broken down now, hurt all the time which is a trademark of the Rangers' signings. They got the aforementioned Bure at the end of his line, Lindros at his, Naslund and so on. It would be great if they didn't make the playoffs next year because they can't draft very well either. Gone are the days of Sather pulling gems out of the late rounds.

9. Drury is good when he's on a well rounded offensive team |
|
but I think you can say that about a lot of players in the league. Well, except for Joe Thornton (tee hee).
Drury is not a guy you sign hoping to turn your fortunes around. Buffalo had guys like Brierre, Cambpell and Vanek. Colorado well, they were stacked to the gills.
On those teams he'll get big goals.
Sather, it's almost shocking that he couldn't figure that out. It's not like Drury was lighting the lamp in Calgary or even Buffalo before those other players came on. Even worse is that the media so kissed that Rags asses for that signing. They had them as fovorites to win the cup two years ago.
A few guys to start this season.
