SHS students encourage peers to be buddies, not bullies
I thought this was a nice article:

“Love is not a maybe thing.”

This clever quote, written by student Aby Macias, is one of many on a mural that hangs on a wall at Sparks High School outside one of the English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms.

“Don’t be a bully, be a buddy,” another student penned.

One teen referenced Gandhi by writing, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

The mural is meant to motivate students not to bully their peers during No Name-Calling Week and inspire dialogue about the effects of harassment in the school environment.

1. My favorite quote, BTW
and I will be using it in my speech to the National Honor Society in a couple of weeks where I will be talking about the importance of civility, using the 25 rules of civil conduct at my thematic framework.

Smart is good, but civil is better.

I'm for peer-to-peer work for bullying prevention; got started in it in the 80s (ouch, I AM old...)
