This is a true statement and I challenge you to deny it! |

All educated, intelligent, fair-minded Americans support full constitutional, human, and civil rights for all.

if we'd only listen to the straight people that come in here to lecture to us about how unimportant we are, we'll be so much better. Inequality and discrimination is easier to stomach when you shut your eyes, put your fingers in your ears and shout, "La la la!" at the top of your lungs. We've even got fucking Will Pitt espousing that idea now.

I don't know if I can support the equal constitutional rights of people that won't help support the equal constitutional rights I should be enjoying.
You know, we've got such BIG problems and so little time. Maybe when we get this little thing done, we'll turn toward your little single-issue problems. You're not a single-issue voter, are you?

"intelligent" by objective standards) individuals who were not enlightened enough to support full, constitutional human and civil rights for all. "Fair minded" is another matter. I believe, as you suggest, that a person who is truly "fair minded," by definition, would support these rights for all.
The trick of the question is in grouping these three, diverse and not inherently connected, qualities of education, intelligence and fairness. And there are even differnt types of intelligence, and so forth.

24. To satisfy all of your conditions, then yes, I think a person would have to support equal rights. |

Or at the very least, not oppose them, and not side with people who do.
