Fundie bigots declare anti-gay boycott of Proctor&Gamble a success
From: American Family Association <afapetition@afa.net>
Subject: P&G Boycott Suspended

*Great News! P&G Clean Up Their Act. AFA Suspends Boycott.*

Because of the efforts of our AFA supporters and supporters of Focus
On The Family and other groups, our boycott of P&G has been
successful. Special thanks to the nearly 400,000 who signed the pledge
to boycott P&G.

In so far as we can tell by our monitoring, P&G has stopped their
sponsorship of TV programs promoting the homosexual lifestyle, such as
Alice and Grace. And, as far as we can tell, they have stopped their
sponsorship of homosexual Internet sites. Also, the P&G executive who
was given a leave of absence to lead the effort of special rights for
homosexuals in a Cincinnati election--and who was a force for pushing
the homosexual agenda inside the company--is no longer with the
company.

We cannot say they are 100% clean, and we ask our supporters to let us
know if they discover P&G again being involved in pushing the
homosexual lifestyle. But judging by all that we found in our
research, it appears that our concerns have been addressed.

There is another national company which is doing nearly exactly what
P&G was doing. The company is a household name. If, after getting our
information you feel our case is justified, would you be willing to
participate?

WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! Please click here to respond.<2>

Please respond. And forward this on to your friends and family. One
reason our boycott of P&G was successful was the tremendous number of
participants.

Sincerely,

Don

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

P.S. Please forward this email to family and friends.

1. lets write them
and ask them to directly quote Jesus talking against homosexuals. Ask them if they support the idiots in Kansas who think it was wonderful that Matthew Shepard was murdered. Tell them you don't appreciate their intolerant NON-CHRISTIAN attitude-their 'religion' is merely an excuse for bigotry and hatred.

3. I'm getting tired of people bending over for these religious nuts.
They are the most hateful group of people. I guess Christianity preaches hate, not love anymore.

What homosexual agenda? To be left alone to live freely like hetrosexual people? What an agenda.

7. The "homosexual agenda" is the product of a clinically paranoid mind
Unfortunately, the clinically paranoid sometimes make public policy with disastrous effects.

These people must be stopped. They are like the Nazi party in 1927. It is a mistake to think they will never wield the power to carry out their plan. It is a mistake to think they do not take their plan seriously.

Hitler really did mean to exterminate the Jews, and almost succeeded. The Dominionists mean to execute homosexuals. They can't be allowed to succeed.

4. What is it about Proctor and Gamble?
The religious nuts have had it in for that company for at least 20 years. First their logo was satanic, now I see it's turned into gay bashing time.

5. Why I am a better Christian then Donald Wildmon - I'm no Christian
Why Am I A Better Christian Then Donald Wildmon - and then James Dobson - and Pat Robertson -- and Jerry Falwell -- and Jay Sekulow?

Let’s get the preliminaries out of the way.

    1) I do not accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.
    2) I do not believe Jesus Christ died for my sins.
    3) I do not believe in Immaculate Conception
    4) I do not believe in the Virgin Birth
    5) I do not believe in the Transubstantiation of the Host into the Body and Blood of Christ
    6) I have not been baptized.
    7) I am ineligible to take Communion.
    8) I do not believe in the physical resurrection of the dead. (virtual reality maybe)
    9) I do not believe in a physical Heaven or Hell. (virtual reality maybe)
    10) I have not been Born Again.
    11) I do not believe in the literal meaning of Scripture.

I do subscribe to the Beatitudes:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye when shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in (virtual reality) heaven.

I believe in the Ten Commandments

    I. I am the Lord your God, Who has taken you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery"
II. "You shall have no other gods but me"

III. "You shall not take the name of your Lord in vain"

IV. "You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy"

    V. "Honor your father and mother"

    VI. "You shall not murder"

VII. "You shall not commit adultery"

    VIII. "You shall not steal"

IX. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor"

    X. "You shall not covet your neighbor's goods. You shall not covet your neighbour's house. You shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his bull, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour's."

Let’s get to the meat of it – I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN – But I am still a better Christian then Wildmon and Dobson and Terry and Falwell and Robertson and Sekulow.

I am a straight advocate for Gay rights and a white advocate for African American and Latino rights.

I spent the last three Christmases and Christmas Eves providing emergency services to families who had lost their homes to disasters. Temporary housing, food, clothing, interfacing with insurance companies and landlords, etc.

This year – for the week before Easter and the week after Easter, I lived in a shelter with the newly homeless. These were families who had lost their homes to a catastrophic general alarm fire. Living in their disaster shelter, helping them with temporary housing, food, clothing, interfacing with insurance companies and landlords, etc.

Two to four times a month I respond to calls for help to families who had lost their homes to disasters. Temporary housing, food, clothing, interfacing with insurance companies and landlords, etc.

I do not do it to build up a reputation for a run for political office. I am in my 60’s and I am going nowhere politically.

I do not do it for the money. My time is donated. I am semi-retired, and this takes away from my part time job.

I do it because it is right – it is the American way.

I may not be a Christian. But, I am a better Christian then those ersatz wannabes - who will NOT know God's Mercy on the Last Great Day.

6. Hey, I've got an idea!
Let's "monitor" shows like "The Bachelor," "Cheaters," and others that promote the heterosexual agenda and start writing to sponsors about how we don't think they should be supporting such programs. Then we can call press conferences and denounce the heterosexual agenda by talking about what an immoral choice it represents and how all the "breeders" represented on shows like "Cheaters" must be representative of heterosexuals, so therefore heterosexuals are sex-obsessed folks who can't control their urges.

8. Let them have their boycott.
That is how they got Disney to change their mind. Not.

There are never enough people to boycott a company for a reason like this.

10. 0.3333333333333 % - nearly 400K out of the 120 Million
who voted equals a fraction on one percent - so much for their mandate. I'm so sick of hearing about these bigots, but they never have the numbers of supporters to back up their causes.

12. Standing-up to fundies was the only reason I wasn't boycotting P&G
Now I'm considering treating them the same way I treat any other republican company.

13. Questions about boycott
Was P&G involved in sponsoring pro-gay websites? Which ones? Did their profits drop due to the boycott? How did I miss "Alice and Grace"?

I promise to boycott the American Family Association! I am already boycotting Lush's sponsors. With these guys it's all about the Law and the Profits!

14. NOT Christians
I agree that these people's "religion" is an excuse to be hateful and discriminatory towards people who are different from themselves. They don't care about Jesus, or "the family". They care about themselves, publicity, and money. If they had their way, they would kill all of us.
