Gay Religious Group Campaigns On Falwell's Turf

About 55 members of Soulforce - a gay nondenominational group - conducted what it called an educational outreach today at Liberty University, the Lynchburg school created by Jerry Falwell.

A declaration by Falwell that "This is not Gay Day," went virtually unheeded as the Soulforce members, who call themselves "Equality Riders" talked about sexuality, the Bible, and gay rights with students of the university.

The riders represented several Virginia colleges, including Virginia Tech, James Madison University and the University of Virginia.

1. I've been reading up on Soulforce this past week.

Mel really has my respect.

They are the one group that makes noise when confronting people like Dobson and Falwell.

And they have added credibility to people of faith (hope I said that right). I think they are very effective at reaching out.

They're planning that big protest outside of FOF/Dobson's compound on May 1st.

I've oft wondered . . . are these dens of unChristian rantings filled w/ hate speech and similar teachings, such as Falwell and his "Liberty College," fully accredited? (Note the word "fully" not merely "accredited" by some yoyo 1/2-baked pseudo-"christian" group(s)!)
