For Anyone At Any Artistic Level..... With An Interest Of Course.....

Had you ever thought of venting by way of an Editorial Cartoon?

Cartoons are quite easily made, and often have a greater impact on the viewer than simple text......

Of course one can not throw caution to the wind when doing Editorial Cartoons, whereas some agency might show up at the door....

But you can often say (or convey a point with a drawing) that leaves no doubt in a viewers mind where you stand on any news of the day.....

Here are some places to start getting ideas on making Editorial Cartoons if you have an interest:

Here is some software to use with your computer to make Editorial Cartoons:

Comic Life Software: It can be bought on the web and downloaded... or bought through Amazon.com, or bought locally at Circuit City.

Toon Boom: Which is a bit "pricey"

http://www.toonboom.com/main/

Blender: Which is free open source 3D software

http://www.blender.org/

Adobe Flash: which is my pick for easy use, and good control
Flash can be pricey from Adobe, but can be found on eBay for a very reasonable amount

http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/

And to draw those vector Editorial cartoons on your PC
You can use a "drawing board"...

A "Wacom Tablet" is a great pick for your PC
They also can be found on eBay for a reasonable price.
Or you can even draw in the software programs with your mouse,
but you have finer control over lines with a drawing board.

Just an idea.... which may save the good China from being tossed against the wall,
and fill an artistic urge.... while making your point in a quiet, but dramatic way.

Who knows, if enough of us had an interest in Editorial Cartoons..... I'd be willing to make up, and maintain a website with our revolving work on it.

6. Awesome!!! Thank you!!!
I'm in awe of editorial cartoonists. I am a photographer, pastelist and trained graphic designer. STILL, I never knew where to go to learn about editorial cartooning! Your piece is an all-time favorite!
