I am cold.
Edited on Thu Jan-15-09 10:17 PM by Jamastiene
You KNOW it's cold when I am cold. I rarely ever feel cold. When I get cold, old Arthr comes to remind me he's ever present in my wrists and fingers. Years of overworking my hands, fingers, and wrists have made it so I can predict rain and practically freeze to death (at least my hands, wrists, fingers, and toes) when it's cold despite the fact that the rest of me overheats easily.

So, other than my wrists, are everyone else's wrists flourishing tonight?

3. It's days like this when I experience a chili dilemma.
Do I put the cayenne in the chili and enjoy that warmth, or do I coat my hands and wait for the warmth to ease a tiny amount of the pain?

I'm cooking a roast tonight. So, that dilemma isn't here at the moment, but it might be tomorrow when it is supposed to get even colder.

Edited on Thu Jan-15-09 10:19 PM by JoeIsOneOfUs
I thought it was just inadequate gloves for the below-zero temperatures, but perhaps this means something else...

5. We're getting to 30 tonight and 25 tomorrow night.
I have been dragging plants in all evening and covering the ones I cannot move, like the citrus trees.

6. Plants. I remember plants, before the White Stuff came. They were green and friendly and some of
them had flowers. Now we have bare sticks sticking up out of the white stuff, and great bare oak trees, and snow, and cold, and wind, and snow, and cold......

10. I loathe cold weather.
If I had my way I would be much further south.

Winter on the coast is rough even when it's not particularly cold: the wind and damp here make 40 degrees feel like something out of Jack London.

17. It's ZERO degrees right now, and 57 in the house whe I got up
It's 6:18, and Haruka's Beta fish looked dead when I got up, so I've been trying to get teh house warmed up. He's swimming around a bit, too.

Even the puppy just quickly peed and ran back inside this morning instead of playing in the snow.

Heat wave!

My sick daughter forced me to leave my car outside over night (her college dorm doesn't have a garage :D ) Darn near wouldn't start this morning when the temperature was somewhere south of zero.

Edited to add: I had to go see what the low temperature was for the day -14. Ouch. Wish I hadn't.
