I'm watching the President and First Lady dance right now at the Youth Ball.

And I have tears in my eyes. He does represent hope and change. I'm enormously proud of our country for having elected him. I'm determined to believe that he will bring change for us too. And I respect him so much for putting this on whitehouse.gov on his first day in office.

It's a very good start.

I'm willing to start from this good place and move forward. Maybe I will be able to marry my partner and have it recognized by the country I've lived in all my life before I die. Maybe President Obama will do the right thing. I have hope.

She has to keep adjusting it constantly. I like the shoulder strap and the rusching but the bottom back is an annoyance to her I am sure. I think she should take scissors and cut it off.

Kind of like a bustle? It's sewn on to the back of the dress so you can gather up your train.

Watching the President and First Lady, I allowed the hope of equality to creep back in and I cried. Hope is infectious and I still hope to marry my partner before one of us dies.
