Judge Judy Blasts Prop 8
Judge Judy was a guest last night on Larry King Live and took the time to share her very impassioned views on the injustice of Prop 8.

As the leading rated court television show, King conceded the public obviously trusts Judge Judy’s judgment.

She shared her views on a variety of issues facing our civilization, including the economic crisis, but clarified the inherent injustice of making marriage illegal for same-sex families.

Judge Judy: "We've got a lot of trouble in this country. We've got a lot of trouble in the world. Why the state should be interested in proscribing the word marriage from two people who love each other, who are responsible, tax-paying, productive people, who have created a family...why the state would have an interest in proscribing that kind of conduct, I don't understand. I understand the anger about poverty. I understand the anger about AIG. I understand the problem about the banks. I understand the problem about Afghanistan and the Taliban and everything else. But I don't understand the preoccupation with gays being permitted to marry."

3. She is and one of my coworkers may be on her show!
It's the usual "I lent them money and they stopped paying me back" story. She went to small claims court a filed for a case and the producers of JJ sent her a letter asking if she'd want to appear on her show.

She's checking into what expenses would be covered, etc. and she's thinking about doing it.

4. Kudo's to her!
I never watch her (I don't even have cable) but I've seen the show while sitting in the doctors office. That was very well put, what she said.

6. Well, I guess that settles it -- the highest court in the land
Seriously, Judge Judy is a daily mainstay for an awful lot of people who would be inclined to vote for Prop H8.

I was in a small commercial as a favor for some friends who own a local business. It appears on the local channel during Judge Judy. The thing has been running for two years now. I have become somewhat of a minor celebrity. It amazes me how many people stop me on the street or come up to me in a store and tell me they saw me on Judge Judy.

8. Oh for God's sake.
"I watched her show one time, was astounded at how rude she was and could not believe a real judge could get away with that."

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Does this person even have the most basic grasp of the way our system works?

12. I'm appalled by the comments at that site -_-
These people are sick...

To: NCC-1701

I use homo or homosexual all the time
I call it a sham marriage not a marriage.

In my state we have just banned homo sham marriage by 62% and when I hear someone say well my boss is married to her girlfriend I make them aware they are not married at all, they are living in an illusion.

I swear these people have something mentally wrong with them, they can’t even understand the law . No they act like little babies who can’t stay up

To: lieutenant columbo

Sorry but you are simply as wrong as wrong can be.

When so many children are already ill-advisedly handed over to the state and often face a harsher fate than anything a biological family member would ever dream of doing to their precious children. Give them over to homosexual couples? Really - you see this as an improvement do you?

And you simply declare we should give the state more power and more options to remove them using a grossly incompetent, uneducated caseworker/social worker system that seldom works as planned. This system is corrupt and run by liberals - like so many governmental agencies that reach far beyond their constitutional powers.

If you have children I hope and pray you never have to face a bigoted, prejudiced, liberal, lying social worker like so many in America already have, like I have. I’m a good and loving christian father but that didn’t stop them from digging into every facet of my life just because of state and federal mandates.

What truly needs to happen is complete dismantling of this hideous and grossly biased gov’t system in favor of local control and involved family, friends, teachers, and clergy to decide what is best for all concerned.

To: Ol' Sparky
Marriage is about children, not sex.. Without children or prospective children.. marriage is silly.. Can gays have children?.. If they can.. marriage is still obscene.. Being gay is about SEX.. not children.. If gays can marry.. Then the wheels have come off the marriage bed..

Gays marrying is mocking marriage.. If gays can marry then marriage for anyone has become silly.. Which appears to be the purpose in the first place..

ARE THESE PEOPLE FOR REAL!?!?!?! WHAT NUTCASES!
