Gene Simmons: Adam Lambert should "shut up about his sexual orientation!"

***KISS co-founder, Gene Simmons, dropped by the FOX Philadelphia studios yesterday to talk about his A&E reality show, Family Jewels, but he also had a few thoughts and some advice for Idol runner up, Adam Lambert.

While Simmons said Adam is "great and has a lot of talent," adding that "he's got a future if he wants to sing in Queen or be on Broadway," he doesn't think he's a true rock singer in the mold of Rolling Stone's Mick Jagger.

He's also had some advice for Adam, "Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don't care," he added, "I mean, if the story becomes 'I prefer farm animals to,' you know, who cares?"***

Insulted because the interviewer asked what it was like for HIM to perform with Adam.

And if nobody cares, why the hell is the media going crazy? why is Adam on the cover of Rolling Stone and on 20/20?
I happen to care, not because it's salacious gossip or scandalous but because I love the fact that at the start of his career, he's open about who he is.
