I know there's a few of us here so I'm getting the word out, feel free to spread the word to your friends:

Taint, the largest LGBT guild in WoW is having its 5th Annual virtual Pride festivities on Sat 6/20. Held as always on the Proudmoore-US server, both Horde and Alliance are welcome (Proudmoore is a PvE server), though Taint is a Horde guild and will be starting the parade from Camp Taurajo in the Barrens. There's also going to be crafting contests, naked dueling and loads more fun.

**Note: I'm not a member of the guild but I do have friends in it and have had a blast at previous ones. I'll be marching with my Troll Death Knight in the Go Girl group that leads off the parade (cis and transwomen players!). Yes, this is our very own Dykes on Bikes (we have mechanohogs!).

3. Do you have at least one level 55 on your account?

If so, you can roll up a Death Knight on Proudmoore solely for the occasion. A lot of people are doing that (like a bunch of my guildies on Moon Guard), actually. My only character on there is a DK I rolled to hang out with friends over there.

We're expecting a record turnout because of that, since this is the first Pride march of 3.0. Acherus might as well be re-decorated in rainbow flags (I've always had my suspicions about Darion Mograine anyway). :rofl:

And my abandoned toons from my Ally days, stuck on my old server:

-70 Draenei Prot Paladin (still sitting in her T5 set, bless her)

...I had a LOT of free time on my hands when I was living in Arizona. :rofl:

10. I'm taking a break from WoW at the moment...

I have very limited patience and having done these things already 5 times grinds my gears. Currently I went back to City of Heroes to play a villain with a couple friends.

I have never played. I would love to, but my hands work well enough or fast enough anymore to keep up with the finger work for playing a game like WoW. To much rapid finger work is necessary. So I as much as I'd love to become a WoW geek I'll have to sit on the outside.

Though, if you hear about any serious adaptive stuff done so that people with disabilities can participate in WoW then please point me towards some discussions or demos online. I'd like to check it out. :)

7. WoW is actually one of the better games in this regard

There is some functionality built into the game (Blizzard actually implemented a colorblind mode in one of the recent patches, and they're one of the better developers out there) but there is a huge modding community with WoW and I know there's lots of add-ons for increased accessibility. I'll have to check my bookmarks but I know there's at least one blog out there devoted to WoW players with disabilities.

I wish I could get in touch with an old friend of mine from my first hardcore raiding guild. She was our healing team leader and had crippling arthritis in both hands but she was the best damn healer I've seen before or since. I know she used a heavily modified UI.

9. Someone with severe arthritis who still plays would be a perfect

resource. She would certainly know the mods or adaptations for someone like me.

If you can get in touch with her, or anyone else with that kind of info, I would really appreciate it. But don't feel rushed. Take your time. I'm never in a hurry about things anymore. :)
