The march on Washington has been scheduled for October 10th and 11th. |
|
Mark your calendars.
If you have never attended a national event before you can not even imagine what you will take away from the experience and I can't begin to describe it. Perhaps someone who writes better than I can do it justice.
See you there.
BTW - I am tired of doing this marching thingie. I am in mid-60s. I really thought I could retire my marching boots but Obama won't let me. Come on everyone. Its National Gay Pride Month and time to get busy planning within your local community to make the trip. I plan to bring mostly straight friends who are seriously pissed off right now as well.

My daughter's friends, a gay couple who live in DC, are getting married in Union Station on the 10th. (The official wedding will be in Connecticut, I think, but they're having a ceremony and reception in DC.) This will really screw up some of their plans and make it tough to get around the city that day.

4. The short time frame makes it seem like they're planning a rave or something. |
