David Parker became enraged last April when he discovered his six-year old son had brought home the book "Who's in a Family.' (story)

The book by Robert Skutch, and illustrated by Laura Nienhaus is aimed at children between three and seven. It catalogues a variety of multicultural contemporary family units, including those with single parents, lesbian and gay parents, mixed-race couples, grandparents and divorced parents.

But, it was the inclusion of same-sex parents that angered Parker. He confronted officials at the Joseph Estabrook School.

so they could decide if their kids should see it.

Guess how the dad found out about the book?

They sent it home with the kids so their parents could decide if their kids should see it.

In other words, the school did exactly what the dad said they should do-- presented it to the parents for their review.

5. What's the Problem?

You people will probably think I'm crazy when I tell you this. I heard this story on Michael Savage (the guy is a Conservative nut-case, but he's so entertaining to listen to). He went on this rant that the school officials should be put in jail for brain-washing the children and having Mr. Parker arrested for speaking his mind. Mr. Parker believes his child is being brain-washed from this book. However, what the junk is wrong with showing diversity and showing loving families?!! God save us all.
