Australia Accused Of Not Doing Enough To Help Gay Tourist Facing Jail In F
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/08/082305ozFiji.htm

Human rights groups have accused the government of sitting on its hands and doing nothing to help an Australian facing two years in prison in Fiji for having sex with a Fijian.

Thomas Maxwell McCoskar, 55, a retired university professor from Victoria state and Dhirendra Nadan, 23, a local Fiji man were convicted earlier this year but released on bail until the island nation's Supreme Court rules on their appeal. (story)

In passing sentence the trial judge described gay sex as "something so disgusting that it would make any decent person vomit.''

gee, a neo-con goverment letting its own people out to dry--sounds familiar
