In less than two months my 'friend' of 22 years will legally become my husband.
I cannot describe how I get butterflies at the thought.
When I told my aunt we were getting married she said, "I thought you already were?"
Sometimes you just got to love your family.

No one. We just are happy to get to do it and be considered a legal couple...well, in a few states anyway.

4. Well, I hope it is wonderful. |

At my youngest brother's first wedding (he's about to enter his second), HE was the "groomzilla!" His soon to be first ex-wife, was calm and collected; he was a total ASSHOLE! Of course, turns out she was a psycho.
Anyway, I was just teasing because of the constant "who's the man, who's the woman" bullshit we often hear. I was just joking and hope you didn't see it as a "swipe" at your upcoming special day.

I seldom take offense to most things. I saw it with the humor I figured you had intended. :-)

I am approaching 8 years with my partner (will be right after Mardi Gras this year). We have an easy anniversary date: 02-22-2002. But, bless his heart, he called me today (yesterday, I haven't been to bed yet) and asked if our day was today (02-02). If so, I could have ordered steak for dinner (in NOLA, we can order and have delivered an entire 4 course meal for under $50), as opposed to cooking. :) He's a silly boy.

I hope you two will have many more happy years together! Hugs from White Wolf and me!
That is cool about your aunt! My mum was really happy when I married my spouse 2 1/2 years ago. Family can be very cool.

Mariage is great, but friendship is what sustains a couple when "lust" fades!
I wish you both to continue your friendship in your mariage!

I've been married for 38 years, and it is NOT lust that has kept us together!
Any couple who understands that triples its chances to enjoy togetherness for ever!:-)

We're in our 25th year together and we got officially hitched in 2004 in Oregon-- later wiped out, but at least we qualify for the domestic partner benefits here in WA State. I wish you both much (continued) happiness together!

33. Congrats!! I will be so happy when "my friend" simply means a friend of mine and not the spouse |
|
we are not allowed to have. My best friend and I live just a few blocks from each other, are both foster parents, work together, often ride to work together, etc etc. We really are friends. EVERYONE just gives us that "I accept you" look when we say "my friend" and we are both like--no really he is just my friend. :)
