Minnesota holds first hearing on gay marriage (Rosa Parks didn't move to support sodomy)
Minnesota holds first hearing on gay marriage

Minnesota took baby steps toward equality this week with it’s first-ever committee hearings on legalizing gay marriage in Minnesota.

The state is considering three bills: one would create civil unions for straight and gay couples; one would recognize marriages performed in other states; and one would remove “gender-based terminology” to legalize marriage equality.

Opponents testified that gay unions are immoral and against God; others said that “social bills are important this year considering all the work that needs to be done on the budget,” according to Minnesota radio station WCCO.

Said Barb Davis, a Republican candidate for Congress from Minnesota, “Rosa Parks didn’t move to the front of the bus to support sodomy.”

But Rep. Phyllis Kahn, sponsor of the measure, said, “I just want to personally state that I think allowing other people to get married poses absolutely no threat to my marriage.”

The committee took no action and no further hearings were scheduled.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who is testing the waters for the 2012 Presidential race, has said he would veto any gay marriage bill that came to his desk.

2. what exactly does sodomy have to do with marriage or rosa parks?

Marriage is NOT about sex you stupid republican douchebag.

It's about property and inheritance and familial responsibility.

Rosa Parks would be ashamed of you, and ashamed that a republican used her name in any context that said that the right to marry is not a civil right unless you're black.

Barb Davis and Pawlenty - you're going to lose. In your lifetime and in your state you will have no choice but to accept that adult Americans will marry adult Americans in whatever arrangement of genders suits them as adult Americans.

Here's the sharp stick in your eye now: they won't even have to be gay, any more than you have to be straight to have an opposite gender marriage.

4. I don't think they'll have enough votes to override the
asshole Pawlenty. We MUST elect a Democrat as Governor of Minnesota in November. This shit has gone on long enough.

6. Barb Davis, infantile whackjob, is also technically wrong...Rosa didn't "move to the front"
of the bus...she got on and sat in the front because she was too tired to go to the back...then again, why am I surprised?

9. Barb Davis
: “Rosa Parks didn’t move to the front of the bus to support sodomy.”

Conservative girls, and women perform sodomy to keep their boyfriends, and husbands around. Typical hypocrisy.
