Eminem Comes Out in Support of Gay Marriage (Yes, Hell Hath Frozen Over)

NYT: You’ve been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past. Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?

EMINEM: I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.

NYT: Is this the new, 37-year-old tolerant you?

EMINEM: It’s the new tolerant me!

11. I don't think Eminem is really a homophobe anyhow.

His lyrics are pretty typical of rap. A lot of rappers use the gay slurs. I sometimes wonder if they ever really stop and think about it too. In other words, I think they are just used to those words and phrases and think general insult instead of gay slur when they use them. It still doesn't make it right or anything, but it's just an observation.
