Georgia GOP primary run-off on Tuesday - Which candidate is anti-gay enough to win?
Georgia GOP primary run-off on Tuesday

Georgia’s Republican gubernatorial primary run-off tomorrow will likely determine the next governor of the state. Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel is leading the race against her opponent, former Congressman Nathan Deal.

Sarah Palin endorsed Handel, which was a shock to many as Handel is “relatively centrist.”

In a 2002 email, Handel reportedly wrote, “As I’ve told you, I do support domestic partner benefits, and confirm my position here, although I do have concerns about a domestic partner registry. Bottom line is that I will work with you and other GLBT leaders to develop workable legislation.”

But her spokesperson Dan McLagan said, “Karen never supported domestic partnership benefits. The one opportunity she had to vote on the issue, she voted against them. And she did not send the e-mail.”

Last month, Handel was interviewed about her views on gay rights. She said that she does not believe in gay marriage and she would consider legislation making gay adoption illegal.

1. Which ever one of these idiots wins the runoff tomorrow, Iit WON'T
determine the outcome in November. Roy Barnes will easily beat either of them! Georgians are sick of the Pub screwups of the Perdue crowd for the last eight years and will finally get a sane Governor back in office. I actually feel sorry for Roy though. He, like Obama, will have a hugh mess to clean up.

2. From your mouth to God's ears...I would like to be proud of my native state again
The last ten years or so have been heart-breaking. Even Mississippi, where I currently reside, has been slightly less insane than Georgia.

3. May the lesser of the GOOPers win the primary.
